We went to Harry potter world.

I'm not going to go day by day for our vacation but i couldn't not mention that we went to Universal studios.
This will be short and sweet. The wizarding world of harry potter was everything i expected and more. I really enjoyed going into hogwarts castle. Martin and i loved the ride I wish we could have rode it again. The line up for the ride was horrendous not just because there was so many people but because it was 40C degrees not sure what that is in fahrenheit. Loved the shops and the butterbeer. We got a chocolate frog and I got a T-shirt. 
We went to the rest of Universal studios and did some of the top rides with the exception of the rollercoasters. We ate at Bubba Gumps which was great. This was the only day we were out of the Disney bubble.
The next blog will be highlights of Disney world. Spa, Golf and fireworks!!

Quick piece of good news my husband got a new job today! So proud of him. He's been walking around so chuffed with himself today.

The Day we landed in Orlando.

So of course i couldn't just go to the hotel and rest. We're in freaking DISNEYWORLD!! We got to the hotel, which was Port orleans Riverside btw. Gorgeous resort will definately go back to that resort. Dropped our stuff in the room and headed for the Disney buses. We're off to Epcot because it's the nearest to the hotel. We get off the bus to see the beautiful sight of mission earth and Martin's introduction to Disney world was the heaven's opening and us getting soaked in very warm rain...lol We both stood under the monorail struggling to get our dollar store plastic ponchos and laughing at the situation. Personally i think we were both so tired we just didn't care. I took a video of us laughing at the rain and each other.
First ride for Martin was mission earth it was a walk on which was nice, no waiting can't beat that in Disney.
After that i took him to get something to eat in Japan in the world showcase. Just to let you know when you eat in Disney world the portions are always big even at quick service food restaurants.  After this we hit a couple more rides and then as we walked around this is when the mishap happened...:(
I unfortunately was on my monthly and well to cut a long story short i didn't have any lady things and i stained my pants. I walked around world showcase with my sweatshirt round my bottom. Now how could this get better...i really wanted to get to Mouse works which is a huge souvenir store to see if they had any mickey underwear for adults. After searching the whole store the wasn't any undies in sight. I was getting really upset at this point. Martin went to guest services to see if they could help meanwhile i found a lovely cast member named April from the UK and i whispered to her what was happening and she was the sweetest girl. She said we don't have underwear for women but for special circumstances she could give me a 25% discount on sale merchandise. So i said well if i could get a pair of shorts or pants that would be great. She found me some red mickey mouse sweat pant capri's that were super cute and ran for something like $40 reg. and were on sale and i got a further 25% off and i ended up paying $18. 
Which in Disney world is a bargain. April was awesome such a sweet girl she calmed me right down and by the time Martin came back i was all fixed. After this we had supper and went back to the resort. That was our first day.

Magical things happen when you least expect it.

Woohoo!! Disney World

As promised our awesome trip. Today i'm going to talk about the Disney world part of the trip. The part i planned for literally months. Gosh there's a lot that goes into planning every little detail and Man! if you don't. I feel sorry for you because you will not do everything you want and will probably get frustrated.  Any hoo.. lets get into it. I will tell you the highlights and the one mishap i had that turned into something nice. Flight down was the red eye btw i will never do that again without something strongish to knock me out! Couldn't sleep because i was excited and the seats on the plane were slightly slanted down at the front, so i felt like i was sliding off the whole time. Oh and the seats were leather so it made them extra slick. We had a connecting flight from Toronto and OMG  that was an awful experience. Hate that airport we got lost and we had to run for the plane or at least i thought we were late but weren't. Well the rest of the flight down was fine and we landed safely at MCO or Orlando international for those non airport code savvy people. I know MCO like the back of my hand and got Martin and I down to the Disney's Magical express buses pretty sharpish. All the greeters have Mickey hands and lovely smiles on their faces so great. Needless to say i was grinning ear to ear at this point. Then we stepped outside...HOLY SMOKES the heat hit us like we just opened an oven door. The air was so thick and humid i had never felt anything like that before. We got on the bus and thankfully AIR CONDITIONING! Weeeeeeee!  On our way to DISNEYWORLD!!!!!

Little tired today

Well i was going to fill you guys in on the trip of a lifetime today but i actually forgot about my blog till late so sorry. Kind of bushed will fill you in tomorrow instead.

The Good parts and the awesome parts

Well hello everyone. As promised i will cover in the next few posts what's happened to myself and my family. 
Last year was my husband and my 25th anniversary a huge milestone in our marriage. We had dreamed as a young couple that we always wanted to go on a cruise. Well last year we were fortunate enough to have a great tax return and we decided we would finally fulfill our dream. Now the year prior I'd been on a vacation with my youngest to Disney world and immediately fell head over heels in love with it. So i convinced my husband wouldn't it be great to do a Disney world/Disney cruise anniversary vacation and well thankfully he didn't take much persuasion. He'd been hearing endlessly since I'd come back from Disney last time how awesome it was. So yay!! We were on our way back to Disney!!!!
I will tell you in later posts how much of obsession Disney has become for me. ;)
My husband i decided to split the planning for the trip in two, i would take the Disney world part and he would be in charge of the cruise planning as it would be on the cruise we would officially be celebrating our 25th.
That's it for today. Tomorrow i will cover the most awesome trip of my life!

My first post

Hello everyone!! well this is a big step for me. I've never been one for writing down my thoughts and feelings but here goes. I guess it would be appropriate to introduce myself. My name is Rachel and I'm a wife, mother and a grandmother. I have three daughters and two grandchildren one boy and one girl.
My reason for starting this blog i suppose would simply be to help me cope with things that have been happening in my life recently. This past year has been full of good things and terrible things. Things that extremely grateful for and things that i wish, to be honest, had never happened.
So this blog will be about those things. I will talk about each thing in different posts.
Okay so for now I will end it here. I will try to post everyday and maybe more than once if I'm feeling the need to get something down.
I will also try and end with something positive with each post.

Count your blessings everyday without them we would all be lost.
