Snowy Sunday

I decided to venture out today. We had snowfall for the last three days and the temperature has dropped quite a bit. It was a frigid -21c but I needed groceries. So with help of my youngest daughter Kaitlyn (who by the way is a way more confident driver in this weather) we set forth. My gosh a lot of people go shopping on a Sunday! We have four grocery stores very close to each and I was surprised at how full the parking lot was. Then of course it dawned on me that people weren't just shopping for groceries they were shopping for Christmas also!! Geez Rachel Think think!! Duh! Thankfully though Superstore now has all their cash tills open on the weekends not sure if this is permanent or just for the holidays. Managed to get in and out in half an hour! Yay!
I dedicate today's blog to my helpful and beautiful daughter Kaitlyn. Love you princess! This is a photo of her.

Introduction video

I know it's been a long time since I've written on my blog and do apologize for that. Life has been turbulent to say the least. My husband and  I have been figuring out our future together as a couple. We have been thinking about changing paths and starting something new. Needless to say this has been a long and daunting task. It has taken us an emotional roller coaster of self doubt and helplessness. At the moment neither of us us working and money is extremely tight. That alone is hard for anyone of us in this place we call Mother Earth.

My path is taking me down the YouTube route. My channel is growing slowly but the content doesn't have enough of me. So my task to start is to introduce myself to all of you and my subscribers.

This of course is my biggest challenge to date. I need to get through my fear of judgment and criticism. Which has been a part of my past.

Wish me luck and send me encouraging thoughts.

Till next time my lovelies

I'm just going to write

Well the last 24 hours have been rough for me. You'll find though from time to time my blog will have similar subject matter.
My daughters are really my life and when we disagree on an issue I feel like my whole world is collapsing. Do any of you feel the same way? I tend to be a very obsessive over corrector and in turn that makes me look a little crazy to my girls.
I really need to learn to back off and not join in their conversations on Facebook that I admit is my flaw. I become quite a lioness defending her cubs from enemy attack! I however am learning not to carry my mood or obsessiveness to the next day. Three cheers for therapy... Hip hip hooray! It takes a lot of self talk and control and allowing myself to just let go and believe that what I said was enough to get my point across. Ahhhh breathe Rachel. I love my daughters and I hope that they understand that when mummy gets a little lioness like its because I don't want them to get hurt.

That's my little rant today.

Hope you are all feeling positive today.

P.O. Box

Is it a good idea to get a PO box? I'm thinking about it. I think it makes good business sense to have one if you intend to work from home. Anyone have a different opinion I would love to hear about it. Hope you are all keeping well.

Have a magical life not just today but every day!

I want to start doing daily vlogs

So yeah I've been thinking about vlogging or at least doing videos for a long time. I'm hesitating doing them because people who are successful are younger than myself, some are way younger. I've been an avid watcher of YouTube for about four years now and my very first subscription was Allthatglitters21 now she goes by her name Elle Fowler. Now the reason I first was introduced to Elle was by way of a video of hers that was put up on Lush.com website. She was quite simply doing a haul video and her opinion of the Lush products she had purchased. I really loved her personality and my obsession with YouTube began.
So my conundrum is this will anyone care to watch videos put up by a woman who is 48 years young who loves Disney and everything about it. Also enjoys nail art and changes her polish at least twice a week and instagrams it pxedst01234
A lady who is now an empty-nester who is starting a new chapter in her life. Making awesome changes that are bringing about good things that are making her to be a very positive and happy lady.
Well if anyone reads this please let me know and if no one does that's ok because one day lots of people will!!
YAY!! For staying positive!

Okay to change the subject and end the blog here's the photo of the pin I got in Disneyland when I went to see in Walt's apartment

Isn't it awesome!!

Bye for now
Hope your having a flitterific day!

Disneyland was awesome

As I promised in my last blog I'm going share some special and memorable photos of my vacation to where it l began.

This wonderful photo is inside Walt Disney's apartment over the fire hall. Martin and I went on the walk in Walt Disney's footsteps tour and looking inside his apartment was the last thing we did on the tour. It was incredible to be in such a special and historic place. I had to fight tears of joy and also pride in such a wonderful man.

This is a plaque with his famous grand opening speech.

The door to the very prestigious Club 33

The you took us inside Club 33 but we were only allowed to stand at the bottom of the stairs.

This was the meal that was awaiting us when the tour was over. We also received a very special pin to remember the experience. I will share that with you tomorrow.
I highly reccomend  this tour for anyone who appreciates the history and the man behind the magic.

Signing off for today and to quote Mr.Disney "It's kinda fun to do the impossible"

We're Here!

Flight was nice and smooth really enjoy Westjets service. Baggage claim was easy and the Disneyland express bus was right across the street from baggage claim and was there and waiting for us to just step right on. All in all our journey down here was quite pleasant. I did however stress going through customs I always do I was worrying about whether or not our bags from our first flight were on the way to our connecting flight. Turned out I stressed for no reason.
Our hotel is really nice and we got a Disney themed room with a view of the fireworks.
We spent the evening in downtown Disney had a good time walking around the world of Disney. Martin himself a baseball hat with a big M on the front which obviously stands for Mickey but Martin says it works for him too. Big day tomorrow we're going to Disneyland and we're starting the day early with breakfast at the carnation cafe and then the walk in Walt disney's footsteps tour.
Signing off all of you had a great day Goodnight my Flitterific Friends
