Delicate Pink Valentines Nails

This weeks Valentines nail is a more feminine and demure design. I hope you like it. This is all done freehand so if you like designs that are more artisan then I think you'll love this.
The above photo shows what I used to achieve the design. If you would like a list of what I used please leave a comment below.
So first start with clean hands and nails with your cuticles pushed back and trimmed if needed. Put on your favourite base coat, a strenghtening base coat is best. The background colour I used is a French tip color called Scarlet by Zoya no. ZP367.

I found that I needed three coats to achieve the color in the bottle. You'll need to wait and good amount of time to make sure all those layers have dried so I suggest about fifteen minutes between each layer and then about thirty after you have put the third coat on.

To add the art to your nails you will need a margarine lid or something similar to put the acrylic paint on. Then you will need a dotter brush or bobby pin and a short stripper brush.

The acrylic paint color I used is Spun Gold. It's a brown gold which gives it an antique look I think. To make the heart I used the stripper brush. Place the brush on the nail and slowly lighten the pressure as you pull down and lift quickly. You should have an upside down teardrop. Then do it again but pull it down toward where you finished your first teardrop and ta da! You will have a heart. I made each nail completely different to make them more artsy and less sticker like. Fill in the empty spaces using the dotter brush/bobby pin making dots in lines from top to bottom. Finish with your favourite fast dry top coat to seal in the acrylic paint and give you a beautiful shine.

I love how they turned out don't you? Very pretty and wearable for work.
Hope you loved this weeks mani as much as I do, till next week my Lovelies.
