A Morning routine is important (Anxiety)

I've suffered with anxiety for many years and along my journey I've collected many weapons in my artillery to fight it. One of them is starting every morning with the same routine. Prior to me figuring out this little weapon every morning I would wake up with feelings of dread and a racing mind. The physical feelings were intense chest rushes and shaking.

So everyday when I wake it starts with me rolling over to see my very loyal cat Flash lying next to me. He starts to purr very loudly (which has a very calming effect in itself) followed by nudging my nose. I stroke him and show him lots love for about five minutes or so. Cats are amazing at relieving stress or anxiety. Next I get up to use the bathroom, take my vitamin B6 + B12 followed by brushing my teeth. There's a lot of comfort in knowing that I have a routine every day. It doesn't completely remove my anxiety on my worse days but it dramatically reduces it. I then go downstairs make my decaf coffee and grab a protein bar and start my day.
