Grateful time

I wanted to do this yesterday but I spent the day with my family. The afternoon was spent with my grandchildren (gosh that makes me sound old. I'm still in my forties) Amy and Roan and then in the evening I went ugly Christmas sweater shopping with daughter Kaitlyn. So this is a belated gratitude blog.

Gratefulness, something that is often forgotten when life gets overwhelming. Life has been especially hard the last six months for my husband and I because we've both been unemployed. We've both had many job interviews but to no avail. We are like many people this Christmas struggling to get in the spirit when we have no money to buy gifts, as we have done in previous years. So coping with this situation has been mind over matter and deciding to make the best out of what we do have. So here's how I'm dealing with it. I always start my day by being bright and cheery when I talk to my husband. I just want to set the tone for the day. I've managed to coax this routine into him. Then we hug each other and say our I love you's and have breakfast. I'm truly grateful for this daily start because we did go through a stage of feeling really low and it wasn't making our life any better. It's not our fault that jobs are scarce. We both have our parts of the house we sit in and do our job searching or whatever else and that really helps. I think if we were under each other's feet we'd drive each other nuts. So I'm grateful for my office and my laptop. I really enjoy spending time on my blog too especially now that I'm see people are reading it. I want to thank all of you who are reading and retweeting my tweets when I post my blog that makes me so very happy! Every time I get favorited or plus oned or liked on my social apps I grin from ear to ear. It truly is amazing how me writing down my thoughts or showing you my cats or my nails is grabbing your interest. I am so appreciative of all of you thank you so very much!

I hope you're all having a nice evening and you're all wrapping gifts and feeling festive. Thank you again my lovelies

Momma Fairywings xoxo
