Painting my office

I've been in the process of painting my office for the last couple of months. It's been an off and on process for me, because I've never painted a room on my own before. I'm a really big procrastinator. I'm down to my last wall and a half and my office is in a shambles. I'm sitting right now in the centre of my room with the window behind me and the closet in front of me. However the light is exceptional right now so I might have to get busy and finish.

The dark reddish brown is the new color. I was going for a warm, earthy classic look. I'm going to be adding some stencilling also in gold and silver I will post when I start doing that. This is the first time I've decorated a room just for myself it's quite a treat. Having full design decision is really fun. It's like giving yourself a new room as a gift. The following photo is how it looks from my hallway.

I really like how the colour I've chosen blends well with the colour in the hallway. Looks far better than the yellow don't you think? I'm excited about how it's going to look when it's done.
